A Rainy Start
Welcome to the first post. . . blah, blah, blah. Ok, so the rain is pouring down today and I forgot my umbrella. Typical. And by forgot, I mean I ignored my wife’s warning that I would in fact need an umbrella. Again, typical.
This is the latest attempt to get some activity going in the area of blogging at South Amboy Public Schools. While I wait (which I do a lot of in this job) for two new computers to update, I am making excellent use of my time multi-tasking this initiative.
This current installation is a WordPress MU with Buddy Press plugins. While this means nothing to most of you, I include it so those users interested in how this is done, have an area to start.
Buddy Press changes the entire WordPress installation to mimic today’s social networking sites (aka, Facebook, Ning, etc.). I am hoping that this might inspire a colleague to give this type of blogging a shot (as opposed to just blogging the usual way). This installation contains many “social” aspects that encourage participation.
Let’s see where this takes us, shall we?
